Session 1: SEM 101 Strategic Enrolment Management in Canada: A Framework for Success

Whether you’re a new registrarial professional in the postsecondary sector, a seasoned “expert” in your office, or  just wondering how to break down those academic and administrative silos – come and learn about Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) and how it provides a new way of understanding and doing our work.   We’ll review key SEM concepts and principles, explore how SEM is being implemented across Canada, and share challenges of trying to implement a SEM framework in our own institutions.

Session 2: SEM 201 SEM Planning: Where Do You Start?

You understand the basics of Strategic Enrolment Management and think your institution could benefit from changing how you recruit and retain students.  But where do you begin?  And how do you convince your colleagues across the institution to join you in the SEM enterprise?  Join us as we review the major components of the SEM planning model, provide examples drawn from actual SEM plans, and provide you with tools and resources that can help guide you in the development of a SEM plan.
