There will be no simultaneous translation. Some presentations are offered in French; some are offered in English, some will be bilingual – where there will be a mixture of French and English commentary. But we encourage you during the question-and-answer periods to speak in either language.

Your evening will include a colourful percussion show performed by the University of Sherbrooke Percussion Ensemble directed by Marc Boivin.

Created in 1993, the group has five members: Catherine Audet (First Prize at the Canadian Music Competition), Jean-François Breton (Second Place in the Montreal Symphony Orchestra), Denis Melanson, François Morin and Isabelle Tardif (Finalist at the Canadian Music Competition in 2005).

The theme is 'Origin' and you will hear exotic instruments playing music from around the world.
